Trustees

Jane has been a committed disciple for over 40 years and in that time she has served in the church in many capacities: leading and teaching in Kingdom Kids in the South Region (as it was then called); ushering; speaking at events as well as being involved in the Women’s Retreat registration; ministering to our ‘senior’ community; leading family groups and being part of the Grief Journey team.

At present, she is the DBS Recruiter for the Southside Region and part of the safeguarding team. Her professional background is in nursing and teaching, and she is currently working as a Practice Nurse in a GP surgery. This has afforded her a good knowledge of people and operational governance.  She brings dedication, loyalty, calmness, determination and most importantly being approachable and supportive in her role as a Trustee.

Remi serves as a member of the Leadership Team in Southside Region of The London Church, overseeing the Marrieds Ministry and serving in any other capacity he is required to. He has been married to Helen for 37 years and a disciple for 34 years.

Remi has 31 years’ experience of working in the Social Care sector and he is a member of the Social Services Senior Leadership Team in the Councils he works for.

He currently manages a team of 70 staff to provide services for Vulnerable Adults and Older People.

He has experience in setting Service Standards, Reviewing Services, Negotiating Contracts, Conflict Management, Equality and Diversity Issues – including Bullying and Harassment, Managing Complaints and seeking feedback from Staff and Service Users to drive improvement to Services.

Chris serves in the leadership team of the Glasgow Church. Whilst at university, he was invited to the first service in Glasgow and was baptised into Christ two weeks later. Chris and his wife Susanne (originally from the Copenhagen Church), married in September 2005 and have no children.

Chris graduated with a degree in Biochemistry before training as Field Biologist within the pest control industry. He is one of 6 Master Technicians (the highest grade awarded by BPCA) in the UK. Chris is the Managing Director & founder of Pest Solutions, one of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing independent pest control companies. Chris also serves as the President of the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), the UK’s professional pest control trade association, serving over 600 member companies and over 10,000 pest professionals.

In addition, Chris also operates several other businesses, including Soapbox Digital Media, a busy Glasgow-based full-service marketing agency. In 2022 he was nominated as a finalist in the Glasgow Business Awards as “Entrepreneur of the Year” run by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. He strongly believes in building a great culture, the benefits of good governance and the attitude of doing everything well as we are doing it for the Lord.

Leslie has been a disciple for over 30 years and has led family groups in East London as well as a bible discussion at the College of Law.  He co-founded the Westminster workplace bible discussion.  He currently serves on the Administration and Compliance Team for the East London Church, and previously served in the East’s Extended Leadership Group from 2010 to 2020.  Leslie has been married for over 25 years to Gytha and has two adult children.

Leslie is a qualified solicitor and worked as a Senior Crown Prosecutor for over 20 years. He currently works for the Ministry of Justice, and has a keen interest in community outreach and inclusion.

Tom has been a disciple of Jesus for over 40 years. He spent most of his time serving in the Cincinnati church in many different capacities. He has been actively involved in HOPE, serving in Kids Kingdom, leading Family Groups, Teaching and Preaching. He had been in Corporate Sales for most of his secular time working for various companies from pharmaceutical sales to Electric motors and Filtration. He is a father to three beautiful children who are all working adults living in the States.

Tom moved to London 9 years ago to be with his wife Sylvie who lived in London and was part of the Southside region of the London church. He has continued helping the Surrey Region in a similar capacity as he did in Cincinnati, serving in Kids Kingdom, leading a small group, Teaching and Preaching, leading the Young Christians group as well as Safeguarding. He started a new career as a Teacher in Secondary School soon after moving to London. Tom has developed many useful skills from his time in the corporate world and as a teacher such as patience, dealing with conflict, time management, budgeting and counselling which will benefit him in his role as a Trustee.

Kristin has been a Christian for 25 years and has served in various capacities across churches in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Istanbul and now, London, where she has resided since 2012 with her husband, Sadek and their two daughters. They are part of the Northwest Region, and they lead a vibrant Family Group and Bible discussion for the community in their central London home. She has served across the singles, student, and family ministries, and has also worked in church administration, authored articles, and spoken at numerous events.

After working in the housing and finance industry for a number of years she completed her MSc in International Development Administration and Planning and she has worked for HOPE worldwide UK since 2014 as a Programmes and Development Manager, strategically supporting work in the UK and many of their international partners.

Her personal health challenges and her experience as a carer for her husband, have given her a meaningful understanding of the realities faced by individuals and families navigating complex life situations and the importance of compassionate, practical support within the church. She brings a thoughtful, collaborative and mission-focused perspective to her role as Trustee.

Omobola (Bola) is a devoted disciple with more than three decades of faithful service to the church. His ministry began at Lagos Christian Church, where he served in various capacities and spent time as a full-time church worker. He led a mission team to Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, and subsequently became an evangelist. In 2001, Omobola relocated to the United Kingdom to continue his ministry and to pursue his professional work as a mental health nurse. He has advanced to a senior nursing role within the NHS and remains actively involved in ministry alongside his clinical duties.

He and his wife, also named Bola, have been married for 31 years. They are blessed with two sons, both of whom are married.

In Manchester, Omobola has contributed significantly to church leadership and outreach. His roles have included Bible Talk Leader, Member of the Leadership Team, Lead Usher and Safeguarding Lead.

Alfred has been a dedicated disciple for over 20 years, serving the wider church community in various roles, from coordinating family groups in East London to working in the children’s and youth ministry. He has been married to Janet for over 17 years, and they have two children.

Alfred is a trained teacher and a qualified accountant, with over 15 years of experience in Internal audit, risk and compliance within financial services. Currently Head of UK Internal Audit at Wise, Alfred combines corporate leadership with a deep dedication to social impact. His journey from rural Kenya to founding ‘Gitite Bridges to a Bright Future – A Kenyan based Community Based Organization’ reflects his unwavering belief in the power of education and access to opportunity. A passionate champion for neurodiversity equity and youth employment, Alfred actively mentors early-career professionals and drives inclusive development, reinforcing a lifelong commitment to service and lasting change.
